Emma Wood was awarded a 2:1 BA (Hons) in Design, specialising in glass, from Staffordshire University, she later went on to further her studies at the university with an MA in Glass and Craft Management.
Emma specialises in using kiln-formed fused glass techniques to produce striking, bold and contemporary designs. Each specific design is made carefully by intricately layering together sheets of glass, cut glass, enamels, coloured glass granules and various metals to create the desired effect. It is then transferred to a kiln and fused for at least 27 hours. She produces a range of bespoke glass pieces in her studio, such as curves, small tiles to large panels, for a variety of different domestic and architectural spaces.
As well as her beautiful collection of glass panels and curves, Emma also offers a commission design service- working in consultation with clients to produce individually custom-made pieces using a variety of fusing techniques to match their requirements.
